Pink Eyes is a band that started in the late fall months of 2013 in Chicago, IL. Craig Woods (guitar,vocals) recently moved from his home city of Philadelphia to Chicago and met up with old transplants Mike Twietmeyer (drums) and Dave P (guitar,vocals). Sometime later came Forge Again Records owner Justin Wexler (bass, vocals) to fill out the sound. The band practiced relentlessly for months, played shows (their first being at the first ever Berserker Fest outside of Detroit, MI), and went into the studio to record their first full length LP with Mike Lust in the summer of 2014. The result is the wavy sounds of dissonant yet melodic and sometimes noisy guitars, grungy hard hitting drumming, grooving ballsy bass tones, and passionately throated yelled and half sung vocals. The coalesce of sounds reminisce some of black flag infiltrated indie punk rock. The LP will take you on an adventurous ride through personal and political issues.
This first pressing is limited to 198 copies on translucent blue vinyl. Artwork created by Meghan Minior (Ampere).
